Position: Field Service Technician
Location: Abilene TX 
Status: Full-Time 
Physical Demands: Ability to lift/move up to 60lbs.  Ability to climb a ladder and work on roofs.  Ability to work in the infrastructure of a home, including attics and crawl spaces.  Ability to work in all inclement weather conditions.  Must be able to use tools to install equipment.  Must be able to drive within the entire service area to perform installs and/or service calls.
Work Environment: Tasks are regularly performed with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. May work in high, precarious places.

Description:

The Field Service Technician is the face of the company and requires excellent customer service skills paired with technical ability. The position requires completing customer installations, service visits, on-site troubleshooting, and recovery of equipment. Work is performed on-site at customer locations both with a physical aspect of installing Internet equipment, as well as a technical portion of updating databases.


Key Responsibilities:

• Must be the "public face" of the company/customer liaison, communicating effectively with customers, and always exceeding their service expectations and building customer "best practices" for the company.
• Possess the basic knowledge of explaining services and offerings to customers.
• Respond to inquiries by phone, email, mail, and in person, providing the information required in a timely manner.
• Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.

• Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service to existing customers.

• Install new customers with Internet service, which includes mounting equipment on roof or pole, running Cat5 cable from outside to the customer’s equipment inside, and completing a clean and professional installation.

• Configure routers and customer computers for access to Internet services.

• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers when new towers are installed or equipment upgraded.

• Assist in determining new repeater locations to be able to expand service to potential customers.

• Travel to all service areas and other duties as assigned.
• Possess the basic knowledge of internet and networking solutions for customers.
• Setup and follow SOPs as necessary and required.
• Meet KPIs as given.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for Role

Education/Experience:

A high school diploma is required, field experience preferred and a background in wireless Internet is highly valued.  VOIP experience and/or Linux is a plus.

Skills:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with a diverse employee & customer population.
• Ability to work independently, using sound judgment principles.
• Must demonstrate personal accountability in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Must demonstrate ability to document and make notes.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-change, diverse, cooperative-working environment while managing multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
• Must have the ability to quickly build rapport and credibility.
• Must be professional in dress, speech, and manner.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions every day.
• Must have valid driver's license, good driving record, and be reasonably insurable by the company.
• Must demonstrate the desire to learn, supported with a love for technology.
• Must be a team player.

Location: Abilene TX 
Status: Full-Time Physical 
Demands: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and answer multi-line phone systems. Must also be able to shred and file for periods, too. 
Work Environment: The work environment is indoors in an office setting but fast-paced.Description: This position is dedicated to providing our customers with superior billing support through a high degree of customer focus and constantly maintaining a positive customer experience. Diplomacy, tact, and strong interpersonal skills must be backed with the capability and drive to analyze and solve problems for our customers quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the "public face" of the company, communicating effectively with customers, and always exceeding their service expectations.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of explaining services and offerings to customers and signing them up for service.
  • Respond to inquiries by phone, email, mail, and in person, providing the information in a timely manner.
  • Execute all aspects of rectifying account issues, billing and reporting, quickly and accurately.
  • Perform administrative tasks that support client contact and follow-up.
  • Performs basic internal sales and dispatch functions, including answering customer questions about available service, upselling, and/or routing calls/creating tickets for installs, support, and service calls to increase residential and small business sales numbers.
  • Continuously update and store process procedure documentation of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Create tickets and route calls to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure users have access to network systems, applications, and services.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of Internet and networking solutions for customers.
  • Assist customers with basic billing assistance, including taking payments, account explanations, credit requests, etc.
  • Perform closures of inactive and on-hold accounts including working for collections or closeouts.
  • Set up and follow SOPs as necessary and required.
  • Meet KPIs as given.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: 

A high school diploma is required. One year of CSR or similar experience is preferred. Pay DOE.

Requirements for Role
